  • Will there be a big mess during our project?
    Construction is messy. It is dirty and dusty. Before it is beautiful, it is a construction zone. However, we respect your property by laying down clean tarps as needed and cleaning the work space and traffic areas daily.
  • Do I need to have design ideas before I start the renovation process?
    Absolutely not, but it helps if you do. Your free consultation is meant to help generate ideas or work through the ones you already have.
  • Will you help me choose what materials to use?
    Absolutely! Your dedicated professional contractor will help you choose everything you need.
  • What is included with a free remodeling estimate?
    Our free remodeling estimates include a detailed written scope of work. At times, when necessary or when requested, we will provide renderings for you to view what your remodel will look like upon completion. Renderings look like a picture of your home and are a likeness of what your remodel will look like so you can visualize the space to be remodeled.
  • How much will my construction and remodeling project cost?
    Projects vary widely depending on your needs and budget. Our representatives visit with you to better understand your home remodeling needs. At The Renov Team we do more than give you a quote. We provide you with the information you need to make the right decisions for your home. Our representatives take time to explain the details regarding your project. We answer all of your questions and explain our estimates for your home improvement project. There is no obligation. Give us some time to review your wish list and we will give you valuable information. We believe that an educated consumer is our best customer!
  • Should I plan more money than the contract price?
    Keep in mind that additional work or a change to the projects original scope of work requested by you (the homeowner) will typically result in a change to the contracted price. Planning for the unforeseen or putting aside extra money for an upgrade can definitely make your remodel less stressful.
  • Why are you asking me what my budget is?
    We have spent over 18 years in this business, our job is to help you see your vision become a reality. If we do not have a realistic starting point, then we cannot design a space that is within your budget. There is nothing more frustrating for you as the client to get a design back that you love and realize that it is double or triple what you have to spend.
  • How long will my project take?
    During our free consultation with you, we will discuss the duration of your project. The key element in completing your project in a timely manner is for you to be available during the process so you can select your products. We will not begin work on your home until all the materials have been received. Our company policy is to stay on your project until completion once we have started construction.
  • How long will my commercial remodeling project take? 
    Since every remodeling project is unique and requires individual attention, the time estimate for completion will depend on the work being performed. Clients arranging commercial remodeling with us can rest assured that we will plan with them ahead of time, outline a completion schedule, and finish the job on time. 
  • I’ve worked with unpleasant contractors in the past, what are your workers like?
    Long-faced and ill-tempered workers are not allowed on our jobs. You will find everyone who comes into your home to be skilled, friendly and helpful in answering any of your questions.
  • Do you use subcontractors?
    We employ both subcontractors and hourly employees who are on our payroll. The subcontractors we work with have all worked with us for several years and for most of them, we are their sole source of employment because we are able to keep them busy from one job to the next. They are all licensed and insured, as well as covered under our license and insurance. Our hourly employees are all journeymen which means they are a skilled worker who has successfully completed an official apprenticeship qualification in their trade (ie: electrical, plumbing, tile, etc).
  • Who will manage my project? Will they be available to answer my questions? Will they be on the job site regularly?
    We assign a Project Manager to every project we work on to ensure it is properly managed. The Project Manager is an employee who is responsible for every phase of your remodeling project once the Remodeling Consultant has completed the design, layout and has ordered your materials. Our Project Managers personally know and meet with all the trades’ people who will be working in your home. He or she manages and constantly inspects all work done by our trades’ people during construction. The Project Manager is either present everyday for part of the day while the project is ongoing or is in contact with the trades’ people everyday to insure the project is running smoothly. The Project Manager is available to you by phone and email at all times.
  • Do you provide a service warranty?
    Yes – we have a 1-year warranty on all the labor we do.
  • Are you licensed?
    Yes, we are licensed. We can provide our customers with our license number at any moment.
  • Are you insured? Can you show me your proof of insurance?
    Yes, The Renov Team is insured, and we can produce our insurance information for any client who wishes to review the documentation. Please ask to see this information during the meeting with our contractor.
  • Do I really need a permit for my project?
    Typically, yes you will need a permit. We are required to meet certain building codes when completing most projects. Our staff and our trades all work with local permitting offices. We know when a permit is required and the necessary paperwork that each office will need to issue the permit. Once we have the final design for your project, we will take care of getting the correct permits and inspections.
  • Are permits necessary for commercial remodeling? 
    In most cities and towns in Texas, permits are required for any type of major remodeling, whether residential or commercial. Permits are especially important for commercial remodeling work as the work being performed may require adherence to building code laws that are different than those for residential remodeling. We will either obtain the permits for the work planned for our clients or work with commercial property owner clients to secure those permits. 
  • How many times are you going to visit my home or business?
    It depends on your subscription. We have monthly, semi-annual and annual subscriptions. Please refer to our Maintenance Subscription page for more information.
  • When do I get the first visit?
    When you subscribe to our Maintenance Subscription Packages, we will start scheduling the first inspection. Please expect a call or email from us within 7 days after you start service.
  • Are parts and materials included in subscription packages?
    Batteries, filters and standard items related to servicing some appliances are included, but parts and materials for projects are not.
  • How do I join The Renov Team's Loyalty Program?
    Joining our Loyalty Program is easy! Simply sign up for an online account on our website, and you'll automatically become a member. Once you've signed up, you can start earning points right away.
  • How do I earn points?
    There are multiple ways to earn points. For every dollar you spend purchasing a product, you'll receive one point. Each service you book with us will earn you 10 points. Signing up for an account will give you an instant boost of 25 points.
  • How can I track my points?
    Once you've signed up for an online account, you can easily track your points in your account dashboard. It will provide you with a clear overview of your accumulated points and their corresponding rewards.
  • What can I redeem my points for?
    You can redeem your points for a variety of rewards, including: 10% off all store products: For every 100 points you accumulate, you can enjoy a 10% discount on the lowest priced item in your cart when making a purchase from our store. 10% off all bookings: Similarly, for every 100 points earned, you can apply a 10% discount on the lowest priced item in your cart when booking our services. These rewards allow you to make the most of your loyalty points by receiving a valuable discount on the products and services offered by The Renov Team. Remember to regularly check our website and promotional materials for any additional redemption options or special offers that may become available from time to time.
  • Can I combine points with other offers or promotions?
    Yes, in most cases, you can combine your points with other offers or promotions. However, please check the specific terms and conditions of each offer to ensure eligibility for point redemption.
  • Do my points expire?
    No, your points do not expire. You can accumulate points over time and redeem them whenever you're ready to enjoy the rewards.
  • How long does it take for points to appear in my account?
    Points earned from your purchases and service bookings will typically appear in your account within 24 to 48 hours after the completion of the project or service.
  • Can I transfer my points to someone else?
    Points are non-transferable and can only be used by the account holder who earned them.
  • What happens if I cancel a booked service?
    If you cancel a service booking, any points earned for that particular booking will be deducted from your account.
  • How can I contact customer support for any Loyalty Program-related questions?

  • How do I purchase a gift card?
    Select an amount, enter the recipient's details, set when to have the card delivered, and pay. After completing checkout, you or the recipient gets an email with the subject line "You just got a gift card from Michael Jones" (with the relevant name). A unique gift card code appears in the email.
  • How do I redeem a gift card at checkout?
    To redeem the card, head over to the store and find items to purchase. During payment, select the Redeem a gift card option and enter the unique gift card code you received in the e-mail.
  • Can I use a gift card to purchase product subscriptions?
    No. Gift cards cannot be applied to product subscriptions.
  • What happens if the order total is more than the remaining gift card value?
    If the sale is worth more than the value of the card, you can pay for the remaining cost using your other payment methods.
  • What happens if the order total is less than the gift card value?
    Any amount left over after making a purchase can be used in future purchases. For example, if you have a $100 gift card and spend $25, you can use the remaining $75 in the future when shopping on our website.
  • Can I check the balance on the card?
    Currently, it is not possible for recipients to check their gift card balance.
  • Do gift cards expire?
    Yes. Recipients have 6 months to redeem gift cards.
